| Description | Photograph of a 1908 Ford Model T "Touring Car" seen in Baltimore, Maryland not long after its production. The Model T boasted a four-cylinder, four-cycle motor and weighed 1200 pounds. At a cost of $850, it came standard-equipped with side oil lamps, a tail lamp, a tube horn, and gas lamp brackets, among other features. The car in this picture sits in front of a brick row house on one of Baltimore's many cobblestone streets. Near the front bumper by the curb stands a small boy not sure what's more important, the photographer or the car. Four men wearing overcoats and bowler hats sit in the vehicle, two in the front seat and two in the back seat, beneath the extended canopy top. |
