Description	Flyer advertising a peace rally held at City Hall Plaza in Baltimore, Maryland on October 8, 1938. The flyer says "Stop Hitler Now" at the top. It advocates the boycotting of Nazi goods and protests the annexation of part of Czechcloslovakia by Germany . (Editor's note: The "sacrifice of Czechcloslovakia" the flyer refers to is most likely the Munich Agreement, made on September 29, 1938 in Munich, Germany. The agreement was an attempt by the United Kingdom and France to avoid war by allowing Hitler to have more territory. It allowed for the immediate German occupation of Sudetenland, a region of Czechcloslovakia. Thinking that war had been averted, British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain returned home and gave a speech in which he said he believed the agreement had achieved "peace in our time." In March 1939, Hitler violated the agreement and invaded western Czechcloslovakia. He then attacked Poland on September 1, 1939, leading the United Kingdom and France to declare war on Germany two days later.)
