Description	Color poster by Dan Sayre Groesbeck (1878-1950) that shows Uncle Sam as he stands in front of legions of American soldiers. As Uncle Sam points over his shoulder toward the soldiers with his left hand, he extends his right hand in the gesture of a handshake. The soldiers are marching in front of the Statue of Liberty, which is surrounded by battleships in the sea and airplanes in the sky. One of the soldiers just behind Uncle Sam carries an American flag. The full caption for this poster reads: "Shall we be more tender with our dollars than with the lives of our sons? [signed by] W. G. McAdoo / Secretary of the Treasury / Buy a United States Government Bond of the 2nd Liberty Loan of 1917." Printed to the left is "No. 1." No printer or publisher is given.
