Description	Photograph of a copy of the architect's drawing of the first-floor plan of Homeland, the Perine family's country estate in Baltimore County, Maryland. Designed by architect Robert Cary Long (1810-1849) and originally built in 1839 by David Maulden Perine (1796-1882), the house burned to the ground in 1843. The first floor of the house has big front and rear porticos with six pillars on each of them, a big library and chamber rooms on the left, and a kitchen and servants' eating room on the right. The central part of the first floor is separated into a hall with a staircase in the middle and front and rear parlors on the left and a dining and breakfast room on the right. The drawing gives the full measurement for each of the rooms, passages, porticos and porches as well as a scale of the drawing.
