Description	Color lithograph that features a view of the foundry on Jones' Creek near Baltimore. This lithograph, drawn by Jacques Milbert after W. G. Walls and lithographed by Bechebois is number 52 of a set. The upper margin is lettered Amérique Septentrionale État de New-York. This print is apparently one of the prints from Milbert's A Series of Picturesque Views in North America that was published in Paris in 1825. Here is pictured one of the infant industrial establishments of early Baltimore, built as so many others were, along the Jones Falls. Iron was exported from Baltimore as early as 1756, says Hall, who calls attention to "the remarkable union of agriculture and mineral resources in her immediate vicinity which gave Baltimore her rise and permanent prosperity."
