Description	Program for the presentation of the War Food Administration Achievement "A" Award to the workers of S.E.W. Friel, Queenstown and Wye Mills Plants, on March 17, 1945 at the Centreville Armory in Centreville, Maryland. The program includes images of two letters from the War Food Administration conferring Achievement "A" awards on the workers of S.E.W. Friel for "leadership in the processed foods industry." Also included is a listing of award ceremony activities, such as the playing of "America" opening remarks by Dean and Director of the Maryland Extension Service Dr. Thomas B. Symons, presentation of the award by Major Joseph B. Corns, raising of the "A" flag, acceptance on behalf of the employees of the plants, and the playing of the "Star-Spangled Banner." Also included is information on the significance of the "A" award.
